Using the NF Air Stone Cylinder in your setup

This 70x15mm cylinder air stone breaks the air from your pump into fine bubbles, increasing surface agitation and gas exchange. In Singapore tanks, where warm 27 to 29C water naturally holds less dissolved oxygen, that extra agitation matters more than many hobbyists expect, particularly in heavily stocked community tanks or shrimp setups where oxygen demand stays high day and night.

We find the cylinder shape spreads bubbles more evenly than a single round stone, which helps drive a gentle circular flow in nano and breeding tanks. Position it under a sponge filter or in a back corner for a quiet curtain of bubbles. Over time, fine pores clog with biofilm and mineral deposits from our slightly hard tap water, so a periodic soak in a vinegar solution restores output. Keep a spare on hand as stones are consumables.
