ANS Check Valve for Singapore Air-Driven Tanks

A check valve is cheap insurance every air-driven setup should have, and it matters more here than people realise. Singapore’s monsoon-season power flickers and the odd HDB trip switch can stop an air pump mid-run; without a one-way valve, water can siphon back down the airline and drain onto your floor. This two-pack fits standard airline tubing inline between pump and airstone, letting air out while blocking water from flowing back.

We tell customers to mount the pump above the waterline where possible and still fit the valve, since the valve is the failsafe when the pump sits low or on the floor of a cabinet. Note the arrow on the body points in the direction of airflow, toward the tank. One important caveat: these are for air systems only and are not rated for pressurised CO2, which needs a dedicated CO2-resistant valve.
