ATA A2 Limewood L Air Diffuser for Fine Bubbles

Limewood is prized for one thing: the incredibly fine, misty stream of bubbles it produces compared with a standard ceramic air stone. Smaller bubbles linger longer and present more surface area to the water, which means more efficient gas exchange and better oxygenation. In our warm Singapore tanks, where water holds less dissolved oxygen at 27 to 29C, that efficiency is genuinely useful for keeping fish comfortable.

The large size suits bigger tanks or deeper columns where you want a generous, soft curtain of bubbles. Many local keepers run aeration overnight, when plants stop producing oxygen and consume it instead, and a fine limewood diffuser is an effective way to keep levels up through those hours. Do note limewood is a natural material that softens over time and is best replaced periodically.
