Anubias and Java fern are backbone plants in Singapore tanks precisely because they shrug off our warm 27-29C water and low-tech setups, but their thick rhizomes and leathery leaves blunt ordinary trimming scissors. The Pro-Scissors Force is built for exactly this, transmitting your grip straight to the curved blades so a tough Anubias barteri leaf parts cleanly instead of crushing. We use it when grooming mature hardscape that has filled in over months.

Cut close to the rhizome rather than mid-leaf, removing older leaves at the base so new growth stays compact. Rinse and dry the blades after each session, because our humidity invites surface rust on any tool left damp in a cabinet. A clean cut also matters for plant health, leaving less wounded tissue for opportunistic algae to colonise in warm water.
