Ludwigia Arcuata In-Vitro

A very narrow-leaved Ludwigia species looking very much like Ludwigia brevipes and also Didiplis diandra.
It needs relatively much light to develop a red stem and red leaves, and it does best in slightly acidic soft to medium-hard water.
Most decorative when planted in groups. Due to its small size Ludwigia arcuata is suitable for smaller tanks.
In its emerged form it can be used as creeping terrarium plant, and if it has sufficient light it will sprout relatively large yellow flowers.

Ludwigia arcuata In-Vitro for Singapore Nano Tanks

Ludwigia arcuata is a fine, needle-leaved species that looks closer to a delicate Didiplis than the broad-leaved Ludwigias most hobbyists know. Its small stature makes it ideal for the smaller nano and HDB-friendly tanks common in Singapore. Shipping in-vitro means you get a clean, pest-free portion: rinse off the gel, divide the culture into small bunches, and plant them densely so they grow up together as a feathery red-tinged group.

Colour is light-driven. Under modest LEDs it stays greenish, but with strong lighting it develops orange-red stems and leaves that contrast vividly against green neighbours. It performs best in soft to medium, slightly acidic water, which our dechlorinated tap suits, and benefits from CO2 to hold its fine form. Trim and replant the tops regularly, since this species looks its best kept dense rather than allowed to thin out.
