Rotala ‘Bonsai’ (1-2-Grow!) for Singapore nano tanks

Rotala ‘Bonsai’ is a compact, moderate-growing stem that behaves like a tidier Bacopa caroliniana, which makes it a smart pick for the nano and pico tanks so popular in space-tight HDB and condo homes. The 1-2-Grow! cup hands you a pest-free tissue culture portion you can split into many short stems and plant in a tight group, then trim and replant the cuttings to build a dense, low cluster.

Light shapes how it looks: under strong light the stem tips blush reddish and the plant stays small and compact, while under weaker light the leaves enlarge and the whole plant loosens. In our warm 27-29C tanks it grows steadily rather than explosively, so it stays manageable in a small scape without weekly hacking. Frequent light trims keep the group bushy and encourage side shoots for a fuller look.
