TCulture Echinodorus Yeni for Singapore Planted Tanks

Echinodorus ‘Yeni’ is a robust sword plant that forms a generous rosette of broad leaves, making it a dependable background or mid-ground feature for larger community tanks. It gives a planted layout instant body and a lush, mature look, which is why we recommend it to Singapore keepers who want impact without fuss. A single healthy plant can anchor the rear of a display on its own.

Swords are heavy root feeders, so plant the crown just above the substrate and slip a root tab underneath, particularly in sand or inert gravel. It adapts well to our warm 27-29C water and grows steadily even in low-tech tanks without pressurised CO2. Periodically trim the oldest outer leaves to keep the rosette tidy and encourage fresh central growth, and allow it room since a settled plant fills out considerably over time.
