biOrb Moss Pebbles for a Soft Tank Base

biOrb Moss Pebbles are a simple way to break up the bare ceramic media at the base of a biOrb with a soft, green, mossy texture. They are decorative rather than living, which is exactly why they work in our climate: real moss on stones needs cooler water and good light to stay lush, whereas these keep their colour indefinitely with no trimming, melting or algae headaches in a warm 27-29C sphere.

We scatter them between rocks and faux plants to hide the join where decor meets the substrate, giving a more natural, finished look from the front. Because they are inert they will gather detritus over weeks, so we lift and rinse them in old tank water during a normal water change rather than leaving them to trap waste. They suit every biOrb model, making them an easy add-on whether you run a small desk sphere or a larger LIFE tank.
