biOrb One Way Valve Plus Airline Replacement

This is the replacement external airline and one-way valve for a biOrb. It is a small part that does an important job: carrying air from the pump down to the airstone while the one-way valve stops water siphoning back up into the pump if the power cuts. Over time airlines yellow, stiffen and crack, and valves can stick, so keeping a spare on hand means a tired tube never leaves your tank without circulation.

In Singapore the one-way valve earns its keep during monsoon-season power flickers and outages. If your biOrb sits higher than the pump, a failed valve can let tank water back-siphon the moment the pump stops, which is messy at best. We always fit the valve the correct way round, with the arrow pointing toward the tank, and replace a brittle airline at the first sign of cracking rather than waiting for a leak.
