How To Safely Add Fish To Tank

  1. Set live stock aside with transportation bag in room temperature place for 30 minutes.
  2. Then transfer bag to float in aquarium for another 30 minutes
  3. Use a fish net to transfer the live stock by scooping it from the bag into the tank.

Note: Do not release live stocks together with the transportation water into tank.

Keeping Caudimaculatus Corydoras in Singapore

Caudimaculatus is a spotted Corydoras prized for its tidy patterning and peaceful, bottom-dwelling habits, making it a lovely active addition to a community tank. As a shoaling catfish it should be kept in a group of six or more so it behaves naturally and feels secure. The good news for Singapore keepers is that our ambient 27-29C room temperature sits comfortably within this species’ tropical range, so most tanks here run heaterless and still keep cories perfectly content.

Substrate is the one thing to get right. Cories constantly forage with their delicate barbels, so a soft sand bottom protects them from the erosion and infections that sharp gravel can cause. Our soft, slightly acidic local tap water suits them once properly dechlorinated to remove chloramine. Sinking pellets and the occasional frozen treat keep them well fed, since flake alone rarely reaches the bottom in time.

See our wider bottom feeders selection, and set them up well with our Corydoras care guide and best sand for cories guide. Float the bag to acclimate before release.
