At 20 x 9.5 x 10cm, this covered box is one of the more useful small-space tools we sell to local betta hobbyists. Plenty of HDB and condo keepers run a row of these on a shelf or a single divided tank, conditioning males and females separately or quarantining a new fish from the LFS before it joins a planted display. The fitted cover matters here: bettas are notorious jumpers, and a lid stops a curious fish from launching itself onto the floor.

In our climate the box’s small water volume swings temperature and ammonia faster than a big tank, so we tell customers to do frequent partial water changes with dechlorinated water and to keep the betta warm and stable around 27-28C. The clear walls make daily health checks easy, and the compact footprint means you can keep several boxes without dedicating a whole bench to them.
