Juwel background is a realistic image of a rock structure in nature tones. The distinctive 3-D structure gives your aquarium a fascinating illusion of depth at a very low installation depth of just 1-3 cm.
As part of the Cliff decorative range, this colour background goes perfectly with the matching filter cover, terraces and decorative stones.

The Cliff colour backgrounds are made of a highly condensed polyurethane, coated with epoxy resin. High quality and will not breakdown even after 4years of use.
This complex production process makes it particularly easy to cut the colour background to size whilst providing an extremely tough, colour fast surface.

Fitting the JUWEL 3D realistic background in your tank

This 3D structured background gives a tank real visual depth while taking up only 1-3cm against the rear glass, which matters in space-tight Singapore flats where every centimetre of swimming room counts. Because it mounts so shallow, you keep nearly the full tank footprint for fish and aquascaping rather than losing volume to a bulky foam panel. The polyurethane-and-epoxy build is genuinely tough and cuts cleanly to size, so you can trim it to non-standard openings around filter slots and corner returns.

We recommend mounting it dry before filling, using JUWEL Conexo so the panel sits flush with no gaps where debris and algae can collect. In our warm, humid climate good adhesion matters; a panel that lifts at an edge traps detritus and becomes a maintenance headache. It suits both freshwater aquascapes and marine setups, and the natural rock tone reads well behind driftwood, epiphytes and stone hardscape rather than competing with them.
