Running the UNS Foresta 35E Paludarium in Singapore

The Foresta 35E suits Singapore hobbyists who want a self-contained paludarium without piecing together pumps, a waterfall wall and misting separately. We like that the built-in filtration and cascading wall handle the wet half while the upper terrestrial zone stays planted, so you get a slice of rainforest on a sideboard or study desk. The compact 35cm footprint also works in an HDB flat where a full vivarium cabinet simply will not fit.

Our local humidity actually helps here. The atomizer mist that would dry out fast in temperate climates lingers nicely in our 27-29C ambient air, keeping mosses, ferns and epiphytes turgid between cycles. We still suggest siting the unit away from direct aircon draughts, which strip moisture and crisp leaf edges. Top up with dechlorinated water, since our chloraminated tap supply can stress emersed roots and any small aquatic livestock living in the lower pool.
