UP Aqua MB 20 Nano Tank with Back Filter

This 20 x 15 x 20cm all-in-one adds a back filter compartment to the popular MB nano range, which makes a real difference for first-time keepers. The hidden rear chamber holds media and the pump out of sight, so you get cleaner water and a tidier look on a desk or shelf. The slightly larger footprint than the MB 18 gives a touch more water volume and swimming room while still fitting comfortably in tight SG flats.

The built-in filtration helps stabilise a small tank, but in our 27-29C climate biology still needs time to establish. Cycle the tank before adding livestock, keep stocking modest, and rinse the filter sponge in old tank water rather than chlorinated tap so you don’t kill beneficial bacteria. The back filter also gives gentle surface movement, which boosts oxygen on hot, still afternoons when small volumes can run low.
