UP G-050 Cooling Fan for Small Singapore Aquariums

This hang-on cooling fan clips onto the rim of a 30-45cm tank and blows across the surface, using evaporation to shed a few degrees of heat. In Singapore that matters: our ambient sits at 27-29C and a closed nano can drift well above where shrimp, bettas and sensitive plants stay comfortable. For small tanks that do not justify a chiller, a surface fan is the cheapest practical way to take the edge off the afternoon heat.

Run it on a timer or thermostat during the hottest part of the day. Because cooling works by evaporation, expect noticeably faster water loss, so top up more often and account for that in your dosing and parameters. Keep the unit positioned so the body stays clear of the waterline, and remember the temperature drop depends on humidity, which is high here, so gains are real but modest rather than dramatic.
