The common air pipe will not be withstand the pressure needed for CO2 system and may leak CO2 after sometime.

The clear version of our 3-metre CO2-resistant tubing does the same vital job as the black, holding pressurised CO2 without the gas leaching through the walls the way it does with ordinary air-pump airline. The difference is purely aesthetic and diagnostic: clear tube lets you watch CO2 actually flowing and spot any moisture, mineral build-up or an air gap forming in the line, which makes troubleshooting a sluggish diffuser much easier.

Many local hobbyists prefer clear tubing when the run is visible above the cabinet or against a light background, where black would stand out. Three metres is generous for routing from a cylinder up to a diffuser, and you trim it to suit. As always we fit a CO2-rated check valve inline, since a monsoon-season power cut can otherwise siphon tank water back down the line toward your regulator, which you really want to avoid.
