Does JBL Haru stick to the inlets and outlets of the CristalProfi external filters ?
No, JBL Haru is not suited for these plastic materials.
Setting up the JBL OutSet wide outflow in your Singapore planted tank
For aquascapers running a CristalProfi or similar canister, this wide jet outflow is what shapes the current that carries dissolved CO2 and nutrients to every leaf. We see many local hobbyists chase the gentle ripple of a glass lily pipe but overlook how reliable a threaded plastic return like this is. It clips on quickly, won’t crack if knocked during cleaning, and is forgiving in a busy HDB or condo setup where the tank gets bumped.
Position the elbow so the jet skims just under the surface and pushes flow front-to-back across the scape. In our 27-29C climate that little bit of surface movement matters for gas exchange, and the wide opening keeps outflow soft enough that fine carpets and stem tips aren’t blasted. If your drop checker stays blue, angle the return slightly downward so CO2-rich water circulates lower before reaching the surface and off-gassing too early.
