Using the NF Extendable Shrimp Net in Singapore Tanks

This telescoping net is the tool we reach for most when working on deeper tanks set on cabinets at home. The handle pulls out so you can reach the substrate of a tall tank without dunking your whole arm in, which matters when your tank sits high on a stand in a compact HDB or condo corner. The fine, soft mesh is gentle enough to scoop dwarf shrimp, fry and snails without crushing soft bodies or stressing them.

Because Singapore tanks usually run at 27-29C with active livestock, fast and accurate catching reduces the time fish spend out of water and minimises chasing that fouls your scape. We keep one of these by every quarantine and breeding setup. The stainless handle resists corrosion from humid air and the occasional splash, and the small frame slips between dense stems and hardscape where a bulky net cannot go.
