The Pollen Glass is the ceramic-disc diffuser many local aquascapers reach for when they want a fine mist of CO2 inside a frameless tank. On this TYPE-2 the ceramic sits higher than the original; ADA is clear that this is a placement preference, not a performance gain, so diffusing ability is unchanged and you simply pick the height that suits your layout. The fine bubble stream both dissolves CO2 efficiently and adds a quiet bit of motion that looks good against plants.

Practical care matters here. The ceramic disc needs adequate working pressure to mist properly, and in our warm Singapore tanks algae loves to colonise the white ceramic, gradually coarsening the bubbles. We soak ours periodically in a diffuser cleaner to restore fine output. Position it low and opposite your drop checker so CO2 disperses across the whole tank before lights-on.
