Replacing Your Twinstar Electrode with the M7 Reactor
The M7 is the replacement electrode that keeps a compatible Twinstar reactor working after the original wears down, which typically happens after roughly a year of use. It fits the relevant Nano, Yotta and Shrimp class units across the Twinstar 1 and 2 ranges, so swapping it restores the device to full function rather than replacing the whole unit. Check your model against the listing so you order the matching electrode size.
Keeping a spare on hand makes sense for Singapore keepers running a planted or shrimp tank long term. A worn electrode quietly loses effectiveness, so refreshing it on schedule keeps the device doing its job consistently in our warm 27-29C tanks. When you fit the new electrode, handle it gently and seat it fully in the holder, and make sure the connection stays dry given our high household humidity. Note the install date so you know roughly when the next swap is due.
It is part of our CO2 systems range alongside the reactors it serves. For the wider context of a planted setup, see our high-tech planted tank guide and, for shrimp keepers, our shrimp tank setup guide.
