ADA Vita-Mix for Water Changes in Singapore Tanks

Vita-Mix is added to tap water during a refill to bring it closer to natural river water and ease the stress fish and shrimp feel after a change. Singapore tap water is treated and chloraminated, and our warm 27-29C tanks often run frequent water changes to keep nutrients in check, so anything that smooths that transition for livestock is welcome. The added vitamins also support the beneficial bacteria your filter relies on.

Dose it as you refill, in proportion to the volume of fresh water going in rather than the whole tank. It is a supplement that supports condition, not a dechlorinator, so continue using your usual conditioner to neutralise chlorine and chloramine from the tap. We find it most worthwhile around larger water changes or after adding new stock, when fish are most likely to show stress.
