Product Info
Professional supplement of easily absorbable phosphorus designed for aquatic plants. Phosphorus is an essential part of phospholipids and nucleic acids and plays a crucial role in cell energy processes. Plants demand for phosphorus increases significantly in highly illuminated, fertilized with CO2 aquariums. Regular use of AF PO4 Boost allows to avoid deficiencies, that can slow down growth, cause browning and decay of leaf tips. Regular use of AF PO4 Boost allows complementing the deficiency of this valuable macroelement in water and pays off in the form of healthy and luxuriant leaf development at a later stage of growth. The recommended level of phosphate in the aquarium is 0.5-1.5 mg/l.
How To Use
10 ml AF PO4 Boost dissolved in 100 liters of water raises the phosphate level by 0.4 mg / l. Recommended parallel use with AF Micro, AF N Boost, and AF K Boost. Absorbents such as zeolite and/or carbon may reduce effectiveness of the formula. The phosphate level should be under control. Its excess may result in growth of algae, especially the red algae. Only for aquatic purposes. Protect from sunlight. Keep at room temperature in a tightly closed container, keep out of reach of children.
1 ml in 10 l of aquarium water will raise levels:
PO4 Phosphate 0,4 mg/l (ppm)
K Potassium 0,15 mg/l (ppm)
Supplementing phosphorus with AF PO4 Boost 200ml in planted tanks
AF PO4 Boost supplies easily absorbable phosphorus for aquatic plants, a macro-nutrient that becomes limiting fast in the high-light, CO2-injected aquascapes many local hobbyists run. When phosphorus runs short you tend to see stalled growth, browning and decaying leaf tips, and no amount of light or CO2 fixes it until the deficiency is addressed. This concentrated 200ml bottle lets you dose precisely without flooding the water column.
Singapore tap water is generally low in nutrients, so in a fast-growing planted tank you are effectively feeding the plants entirely through dosing. We suggest balancing PO4 against your nitrate dosing rather than pushing phosphate in isolation, and starting conservatively, because excess phosphate with strong light is a classic algae trigger. Watch new growth over a week or two and adjust based on what the plants tell you rather than a fixed figure.
