Why

Foliage feeding is used widely in commercial farming as it provides faster nutrient uptake by bypassing root / soil issues. However it needs (a) frequent application and (b) careful calibration to prevent leaf-burn.

Designed for terrariums and paludariums, APT Dew uses composites that are easily absorbed through the leaf surface.

APT Dew is a foliar mist for planted tanks, designed to be sprayed directly onto leaves so nutrients are taken up through the foliage rather than only through the roots and water column. Local aquascapers reach for it most during a dry start or while plants are growing emersed, when leaves are exposed to air and can absorb a foliar feed efficiently. It’s built on 2Hr Aquarist’s Capstone approach and is non-toxic to aquatic life when used as directed.

In Singapore’s humid climate, emersed and dry-start setups can actually do well thanks to the moisture in the air, but plants still benefit from a targeted nutrient boost to push stronger, more resilient growth. The included nano-mist sprayer lets you apply an even, fine coat two to three times a week without over-wetting, which suits the compact emersed scapes many of us run in HDB and condo spaces.
