EIHO ICH Ex for white spot in shrimp and planted tanks
White spot is something almost every local hobbyist meets eventually, but treating it in a planted or shrimp tank is the tricky part, since the usual copper- and malachite-green-based remedies can wipe out shrimp, harm sensitive fish, and knock back the beneficial bacteria your filter depends on. ICH Ex is formulated as a gentler option intended to clear white spot in these vulnerable setups, so you can treat the display directly without tearing down a carefully planted scape.
The white spots you see are only the cyst stage on the fish; the parasite is killed during its free-swimming phase, so completing the full course is essential even after spots disappear. In our warm 27-29C water the cycle moves quickly, which means spots can spread fast but treatment windows also come around sooner. Keep aeration strong throughout, and even with a shrimp-safer formula, start at the recommended dose and observe your inverts closely.
It is part of our conditioners and medication range. Compare approaches in our ich treatment guide, confirm the diagnosis with our parasite identification guide, and prevent reinfection using our quarantine protocol.
