PP Bath is used as a disinfectant to combat against common skin and gills parasites such as Trichodina, Costia, Chilodonella, bacteria and fungus. Used as a preventive treatment to reduce chances of infection that cause ulcer and redness on skin. It oxidises dissolved organic matter and increases the redox potential. Chronic high levels of organic waste in water is detrimental to the health of fishes and can increase the growth of disease-causing bacteria. PP bath improves water quality and clarity. Removes odour in tanks and reduces growth of string algae in ponds.

IMPORTANT: Do not mix with other medication, especially formalin. Do not use with chlorine/ chloramines remover. Ensure good water circulation and aeration during treatment. Lower dosage if the temperature and pH is high.

DIRECTIONS Long immersion to combat against parasite and bacteria: 1 cap (5ml) for 50L will give 1.5mg/L treatment. Half recommended dosage for small fish. Water turns dark purple when added and brown as it oxidises dissolved organic waste. There is active PP if water remains slight purple after 4 hours. Treatment can be repeated up to 3 times daily. Stop treatment if fish show stress (grasping for air on water surface). Ammonia Detox can be added immediately to remove effects of PP.

Short bath: 5ml for 10L (5-20min) (10mg/L) to combat against parasite and bacteria infection or as preventative bath for newly transported fish. Observe the fish for stress during treatment. Half recommended dosage for small fish. Treatment can be repeated up to 3 times daily.

Sterilising of fish net and equipment: 5ml for 10L, soak for 30 minutes. Rinse in clean water and soak in Ammonia Detox (anti- chloramine) to remove and residue PP.

It is a strong oxidiser, so dose precisely, treat in a separate hospital tank where possible, keep aeration high since warm Singapore water already runs low on oxygen, and never combine it with other medications. Watch the colour as your guide and have a dechlorinator on hand to neutralise if a fish shows distress. Used carefully, it remains one of the most reliable tools in a serious keeper’s cabinet.
