Description
When to use :
All plants need carbon to grow. Aquatic plants obtain their carbon through CO2 dissolved in water. With Liquid CO2 Boost, plants will grow more vigorously, removing algae-causing macronutrients such as nitrate and phosphate.
Use daily, or every other day, to provide plants with a regular and consistent supply of carbon.
How to use :
Calculate the volume of your aquarium in litres (length x width x depth (in cm)/1000). Alternatively, use a Dosage Calculator to help you.
Turn dispenser to unlock, then press down on the pump to dispense.
For best results: Use in conjunction with Plant Boost to provide the trace elements and micronutrients required for healthy plant growth.
“Comprehensive and easy to use, I often like to have a couple of bottles of Anti-Internal Bacteria treatment or Disease Solve to hand. Nice to know that I’m not the only one who rates these products!” Nathan Hill, the Associate Editor of Practical Fishkeeping Magazine
FAQs :
Q: Will carbon remove Aquarium Liquid CO2 Boost or Plant Boost? A: Activated carbon is very effective at removing carbon-containing compounds from the water. Unfortunately, both our CO2 Boost and Plant Boost have such compounds and are likely removed by activated carbon, reducing their plant growth boosting properties. The best way to use activated carbon in a planted aquarium is on an “as and when” basis to remove water discolouration or odours.
NT Labs Liquid CO2 Boost for planted tanks
All plants need carbon to grow, and aquatic plants normally draw it from CO2 dissolved in the water. This 100ml liquid carbon supplement provides that carbon in a form you simply pump into the tank, helping plants grow more vigorously without the pressurised gas, regulators, and diffusers of a full CO2 system. As plants grow faster they take up more nitrate and phosphate, which are the same nutrients that otherwise feed nuisance algae, so steady use can help tip the balance in the plants’ favour.
For Singapore hobbyists this is an easy entry point into a healthier planted tank, especially in HDB and condo setups where a cylinder feels like too much commitment or there is simply no room for one. Calculate your tank volume, dose daily or every other day for a consistent supply, and pair it with a liquid plant fertiliser for best results. Build up gradually and watch sensitive species, as some plants react to over-dosing.
