Description

Chloramine T treats External bacterial and parasitic infections.
When to use :
When fish show symptoms of a bacterial infection (ulcers, fin, tail or mouth rot, loose scales), parasitic infection (Costia, Trichodina, skin or gill flukes), flicking and rubbing against rough surfaces or gasping.
How to use :

Test your water quality.
Mix the appropriate dosage in a clean bucket of pond water and pour evenly over the surface of the pond. Switch off UV filtration until 48 hours after adding the final dose. Aerate the pond well during treatment.
Add Filter Bugs 48 hours after adding the final dose to boost the biological filtration of your pond.
If you feel a repeat dose is necessary, check your diagnosis using the Diagnosis Tool; a different medication may be more suitable. Allow 10 days after adding the final dose and perform a partial water change before re-treating or treating with a different medication.
Always treat when you have time to observe fish and take appropriate action in the unlikely event of a bad reaction. Follow the safety information below throughout the course of treatment.

FAQs
Q: I have to remove chlorine & chloramine from my tap water so why am I now adding it in with these products?
A: Although they share very similar names, chloramine and chloramine T are in fact very different compounds and have quite different properties.

NT Labs Koi Care Chloramine T 250g for SG ponds

Chloramine T is a powder treatment koi keepers use against external bacterial and parasitic problems, from ulcers and fin or mouth rot to Costia, Trichodina and skin or gill flukes. We recommend it when fish show the classic signs of flicking, rubbing, gasping or visible lesions. It is a serious treatment, so testing your water and confirming the problem before dosing is important rather than reaching for it at the first odd behaviour.

A few points matter in our climate: switch off UV filtration during the course, aerate the pond strongly throughout, and dissolve the dose in a clean bucket of pond water before distributing it evenly across the surface. Warm Singapore ponds hold less oxygen, so heavy aeration is not optional during treatment. After the final dose, restoring your biological filter with beneficial bacteria helps the pond settle back into balance.

Read our koi disease treatment guide and our notes on gill fluke treatment before dosing. Find more pond medications in our conditioners & medication range.
