Fresh Trace™ supplies a broad range of trace elements demonstrated* to be necessary for proper fish health and growth. Unlike terrestrial animals, fish obtain nutrients from both their food and environment. Trace elements are normally depleted by utilization, oxidation and precipitation, thus it is important to restore them on a regular basis. Fresh Trace™ contains only those elements actually demonstrated* to be required by fish.

Fresh Trace supplies the trace elements freshwater fish need from their environment as well as their food, restoring what is steadily lost to uptake, oxidation and precipitation. It is the freshwater counterpart to Seachem’s discus and marine trace products, and it suits community and species tanks alike. We see it as quiet, background support for fish health rather than a quick fix you reach for when something goes wrong.

It is most worthwhile for keepers running frequent large water changes or working from RO and mineral-light source water, both common in Singapore where the tap supply is already soft. Heavy water changes flush out trace elements along with the waste, so a measured top-up keeps things stable between sessions. We dose to the bottle as part of a consistent routine rather than adjusting based on visible signs, which are hard to read for trace deficiency.
