UP Aqua E-403 Snail Control for Pest-Snail Outbreaks

This 300ml treatment targets nuisance pond and bladder snails that hitchhike in on new plants, working through the water column to knock back a fast-breeding population. It is formulated to be gentle on fish and aquatic plants at the stated dose, making it a practical option when a planted tank suddenly fills with tiny shells. We still recommend treating in stages so you control the die-off rather than triggering it all at once.

A heavy snail crash releases a lot of decaying organic matter, which in our warm 28C tanks can spike ammonia quickly. Remove visible dead snails, run extra aeration, and do a water change a day or two after dosing. Important: copper-based and many snail treatments are not safe for ornamental shrimp, so do not use this in a shrimp tank. Dechlorinate any replacement water, as our tap is chloraminated.
