Feeding AF Anthias Pro Feed to SG reef fish
Anthias and other mid-water carnivores are notoriously hungry, grazing almost constantly in the wild, which makes them tricky to keep well-fed in a home reef. We stock AF Anthias Pro Feed because its Mysis-and-Calanus base mirrors the small zooplankton these fish naturally hunt, and the soft, sinking nature suits species that snatch food from the water column rather than the substrate. It is equally useful as a target food for LPS corals when you spot-feed after dark.
In Singapore’s warm tanks, metabolisms run quick, so we recommend several small feeds a day rather than one large dump that fouls the water. A turkey baster or feeding pipette lets you place portions right where shy anthias hold station near the rockwork. Soaking a pinch briefly before broadcasting helps it sink at the right pace and reduces waste that your skimmer would otherwise have to chase.
It sits neatly alongside the rest of our coral food and supplements. For stocking and feeding context, see our lyretail anthias care guide and our wider colour-enhancement diet guide.
