AF Growth Boost

Description

AF Growth Boost is a supplement for growth acceleration. It is designed for all kinds of corals. Due to the unique composition of carefully selected amino acids, it significantly improves coral polyps extension. The use of AF Growth Boost allows to complement deficiencies and significantly enhance metabolism. The preparation was enriched with calcium carbonate, which is used by corals for building skeletons. Specially selected formula of the preparation significantly accelerates the calcification process and high content of amino acids ensures healthy growth. Due to the perfectly balanced formula, AF Growth Boost significantly accelerates the growth of the coral frags and facilitates their adaptation to new conditions.
Dosage: 1 measuring spoon per 100 l of water after lights out.
All powdered coral supplements have a recommended dosage of 1 spoon per 100 l (27 US gal) of water, though, it’s important that each aquarium is different and the dosage may vary depending on the coral cast. We recommend to start dosing foods and supplements at half of the recommended dose or (even ¼) of the recommended amount and observe the corals and their reaction to the administered food. Once the aquarium shows no sign of overdose, we recommend increasing dosage to the target dose. Corals such as Zoanthus, Ricordea and other mushroom corals should be fed during the day. In order to facilitate the food absorption, SPS and LPS corals should be fed after lights out. In order to ensure the best nutrient absorption, all supplements and foods for corals should be dispensed directly into the aquarium. During the feeding we recommend switching off the skimmer for about an hour.

Feeding AF Growth Boost to Corals in SG Tanks

Growth Boost sits in the amino-acid family of coral supplements, aimed at keepers who want faster polyp extension and quicker recovery on fresh frags. We find it most useful during the grow-out phase, after a coral has settled and is colouring up, rather than as a rescue product for a struggling animal. A little goes a long way, so start with a conservative amount and watch how your corals respond over a week before adjusting.

In Singapore’s warm 27-29C reef tanks, organic dosing needs a steady hand. Higher temperatures speed metabolism but also encourage nuisance algae and bacterial blooms if you overfeed, so we pair amino dosing with good skimming and consistent water changes. Dose in the evening when many corals extend feeding tentacles, target low-flow moments, and keep nutrients in a sensible range rather than pushing them to zero, which actually limits the benefit you get from supplements like this.
