ANS Black Rose M Lava Rock (15-25cm, 20kg) for SG Tanks

The medium 15-25cm grade gives you proper structural stones, the kind that anchor a layout and set the main lines before you fill in with smaller pieces. Lava rock stays comparatively light for its bulk, which matters in HDB and condo setups where a tall stack of dense stone plus water can push floor-loading limits; the porous body lets you build height and drama without the dead weight of solid rock.

That same porosity makes these stones useful biologically, as the internal pores colonise with nitrifying bacteria and bolster your biofilter in our continuously warm 27-29C water. The textured faces hold moss and rhizome plants like Anubias and Bucephalandra securely, so a hardscape-led, low-light scape comes together without demanding CO2. Scrub and rinse each piece before placement to remove loose grit, and dry-fit your arrangement before adding water.
