At 15-25cm this small branchy piece is sized for nano tanks, betta setups and tight foreground or midground accents where a larger limb would overwhelm the scene. Its slender forks suit a single-feature scape or can be clustered to imply a thicket. Because each natural piece differs in shape, we suggest dry-fitting and rotating it to find the most pleasing line before you scape, especially in a small tank where every angle reads clearly.

Fresh driftwood releases tannins that tint the water and soften pH slightly, which complements our naturally soft tap water and suits blackwater-loving fish like wild bettas, chili rasboras and apistos. If you want crystal water for a display, a soak or short boil and some carbon will reduce the staining. Small pieces waterlog reasonably quickly in our humid climate, but weigh it down initially so it stays put while it sinks.
