Building a Hardscape with ANS Serkyi Rock

Serkyi Rock is sold in bulk 20kg lots across three size grades, so you can buy a whole layout’s worth of matching stone in one go. The S grade (10-15cm) suits nano and detail work, M (20-30cm) builds the mid-ground, and L (25-40cm) gives you the big anchor pieces a larger scape needs. Buying one consistent rock keeps the texture and colour cohesive, which is what makes a stacked hardscape read as natural rather than random.

For HDB and condo keepers, remember that 20kg of rock plus water and substrate adds up fast, so check your cabinet and floor loading before committing to a big stone tank. Rinse each piece to clear grit before placing, and dry-stack your layout outside the tank first to lock in the angles. A stable base of larger stones underneath stops the whole arrangement shifting when you plant or rescape.
