The RQ2349 Cute Boat for Family Tanks

The RQ2349 is a small, characterful boat that suits first tanks and children’s setups in Singapore flats. We often suggest pieces like this when families want something fun and recognisable rather than a serious nature scape; a single cheerful ornament does more to get kids interested in fishkeeping than a tank of bare gravel. Its compact size means it won’t overwhelm a nano or a starter community tank.

As resin, it traps air easily, so we submerge and tilt it underwater first to release bubbles, then seat it on the substrate so it stays put. A dechlorinated-water rinse beforehand clears residue from our chloraminated supply. The hull cavity gives small fish a shaded retreat, which is useful in bright, busy living rooms where shy species otherwise spend their time hiding behind the filter intake.
