Styling Your Tank With the RQ Coral Resin Decoration

This resin coral piece is a fuss-free way to add structure and colour to a tank without the upkeep of live coral. We find it most useful in freshwater community setups here in Singapore, where a single bold ornament can anchor an otherwise bare HDB-sized tank. The hand-painted resin holds up well in our warm 27-29C tap water and won’t leach colour, so it stays vivid through routine water changes and the usual algae wipe-downs.

Give it a quick rinse under the tap before it goes in, and seat it firmly on the substrate so timid fish can dart behind it. Cory cats, tetras and small barbs treat the crevices as cover, which lowers stress and brings shy stock out into the open more often. Because it’s inert, it won’t shift your pH or hardness, making it safe to mix with live plants, driftwood or other hardscape in the same layout.
