Shirakura Mineral Stone for Shrimp Tanks

The Shirakura Mineral Stone is more than a tank ornament; it is a natural mineral supplement that shrimp keepers add to support healthy shells and moulting. Sitting on the substrate, it slowly releases minerals into the water and gives Caridina and Neocaridina a hard surface to graze biofilm from. We recommend it for soft-water shrimp setups, common here since our tap supply runs soft and slightly acidic before remineralising.

Place a stone in the tank and let it work passively; there is no dosing involved. Keep an eye on your TDS with a meter, as adding any mineral source will nudge it, and adjust your remineraliser accordingly so you stay in your target range. It pairs naturally with active soil substrates, helping offset the way those soils pull minerals out of the water over time.
