SUDO E-9SP Tako Pot Small Ceramic Cave

The Tako pot is SUDO’s rounder, octopus-pot take on the breeding cave, and the E-9 small at 105x80x80mm is sized for nano tanks and shrimp setups, the very tanks most Singapore hobbyists keep on a desk. Its compact ceramic body gives shrimp, small catfish and dwarf fish a snug, defensible retreat, while the handmade glaze finish looks the part in a planted nano. Being inert ceramic, it won’t alter pH or hardness in our soft local water.

Small caves like this do quiet work in a maturing tank: the shaded interior and outer surface both grow biofilm that shrimplets graze constantly, and the dark hollow gives a berried female somewhere to ride out moulting and carrying eggs undisturbed. Sink it fully on placement so it doesn’t bob, and angle the mouth away from the filter outflow so it stays a calm pocket. In a community nano it draws shy fish out by giving them a fallback they can dart to.
