The Zhen De 99007B Aquatic Plant Ornament for Local Setups

The 99007B is one we recommend when a hobbyist wants instant greenery but cannot run the lighting or dosing a planted tank demands. It works well in betta and nano tanks common in Singapore flats, adding cover and visual depth without the trimming and algae management of live stems. The artificial fronds stay put in flow and give shy fish a reliable hiding spot, which helps newly added stock acclimate more calmly.

Being non-toxic resin and plastic, it stays neutral in our soft chloraminated tap water and shrugs off our constant 27-29C room temperature, so no chiller or heater interaction to worry about. Rinse it before first use, and on water-change day pull it out and gently wipe the leaves so diatom film does not build up in our humid climate. Cluster two or three at varied heights for a softer, more believable backdrop.
