DOOA Wabi-Kusa Hanger S (H30mm) for Nano Scapes in Singapore

The small Wabi-Kusa Hanger stands just 30mm tall, the most subtle of the three sizes. This stainless steel stand gives a Wabi-Kusa ball a gentle lift off the substrate, enough to set it apart visually and keep its base clear of detritus, without dominating the layout. It is the natural choice for nano bowls, jars and compact terrariums where a taller hanger would look out of scale.

That little bit of elevation does real work in a small Singapore setup. Keeping the underside of the ball off the floor improves airflow and drainage around it, which in our warm conditions helps stave off the rot that catches out crowded nano scapes. Stainless steel means no rust in the constant damp. Site it where misting or cascade spray keeps the ball moist, and because these compact builds dry faster under air-con, check the planting often and top up with treated water.
