Description

ANS Polyester Blue Wool (Various Size) – Aquarium Filter Wool / Filter Floss for Crystal Clear Water
Want your aquarium water to look cleaner, clearer and more “crystal” fast?
ANS Polyester Blue Wool is a high-efficiency fine filtration media (filter wool / filter floss) designed to trap fine dirt, dust, fish waste and cloudy particles that normal sponges may miss. Perfect for aquarium, shrimp tank, koi pond, sump filter, canister filter, top filter and overhead filter setups in Singapore.
✅ 1) Polishes Water for Crystal Clear Look
Traps ultra-fine particles to give your tank a “clean glass” look—especially after tank cleaning or new setup.
✅ 2) Strong Mechanical Filtration
Captures floating waste, leftover food and debris before it breaks down into ammonia.
✅ 3) Easy to Cut & Fit Any Filter
Just cut to your tray size and place into:
✔ sump ✔ top filter ✔ overhead filter ✔ canister ✔ pond filter
✅ 4) Great for Both Freshwater & Marine
Suitable for most aquarium systems including planted tanks, goldfish, cichlids and marine fish tanks.
✅ 5) Fast “After Water Change” Clarity Boost
Use it right after water change / tank rearrangement to quickly remove cloudiness and suspended dust.
✅ 6) Best Pairing With Sponge / Bio Media
Place this as the LAST layer (polishing layer) after sponge/bio media to catch the finest dirt → clearer water, less mess.
✅ Recommended layering:
Coarse Sponge → Bio Media → Blue Wool (Polishing Layer)
✅ How To Use
Rinse lightly with clean water
Cut to your filter tray size
Place as the final layer in your filtration system
Replace when clogged or when water flow reduces
💡 Pro Tip: For best results, change wool regularly—this is a high-performance consumable.
📦 What You Receive
✅ 1x ANS Polyester Blue Wool (Choose your size variation)
Q1: What is polyester blue wool used for?
A: It’s a fine mechanical filtration media that traps small particles to help make aquarium water clearer and cleaner.
Q2: Where do I put it in my filter?
A: Place it as the last layer (polishing layer) in sump, canister, overhead, top filter or pond filter for best water clarity.

Q3: How often should I replace it?
A: Replace when it becomes dirty/clogged or when water flow decreases. Frequency depends on tank bioload (goldfish tanks need more frequent changes).

Q4: Can I wash and reuse it?
A: Light rinsing is possible, but for best performance and hygiene, most hobbyists replace it instead of reusing (clearer results + less bacteria buildup).

Polishing Water with ANS Polyester Blue Wool in Singapore

This blue filter wool is fine mechanical media you lay in the last stage of a filter to catch the dust, fish waste and stirred-up particles that coarser sponges let slip past. Cut it to size for a sump tray, the top basket of a canister, an overhead trickle filter, or a hang-on box. It is the cheapest, fastest way to take a hazy tank to clear glass, which is why it sells so steadily at the shop.

Treat it as a polishing layer, not a workhorse. In our warm 27-29C tanks, fine wool clogs with mulm quickly and can choke flow within a week or two in a busy tank, so rinse or swap it on a schedule rather than leaving it to compact. Always seat it after your biological media in the flow path, so the good bacteria stay fed and the wool only handles the fine particulate.
