ANS Sinopore Mini 10mm Bio Rings for Serious Filtration

Sinopore Mini packs 10mm sintered glass rings into 300g, 1kg or 2kg bags complete with a filter net, giving you a high-surface-area biological medium in a compact ring format. The smaller 10mm size means you can fit more rings into a given basket volume, increasing the total porous surface available for beneficial bacteria compared with bulkier conventional ceramic rings.

The pH-neutral glass will not nudge your water chemistry, which matters in SG where many of us keep soft, slightly acidic, chloraminated tap water after dechlorination. In our 27-29C tanks the bacterial colony works hard, so dense, durable bio housing helps a busy canister or sump keep ammonia and nitrite in check. Place it after mechanical foam in the flow path and rinse only in tank water to protect the colony.
