Description
With live beneficial bacteria included!
Highly porous for maximum filtration.
Initiates and supports the nitrification process
Life Bio Fil is a natural biological filtration media. Due to carefully selected bacterial strains it initiates and supports the nitrification process which accelerates maturity.
Increases filtration efficiency
Life Bio Fil is perfect filtration media for newly established tanks. Life Bio Fil will also increase efficiency of filtration in older, already functioning tanks. Due to content of bacteria it starts nitrification process almost immediately – there’s no need to wait for the settlement of the medium. Life Bio Fil should be placed in the sump in a good water flow. 1000 ml medium should be used in an aquarium with a capacity of 400 l. We recommend to replace 10 -20 % of the filling every 6 weeks.

Maturing new tanks with Aquaforest Life Bio Fil
Life Bio Fil is a highly porous biological media that ships with live beneficial bacteria already seeded into it, which is why we suggest it to local hobbyists setting up a fresh tank who do not want to wait out a long, anxious cycle. The selected bacterial strains kick-start nitrification almost immediately, so the media starts processing ammonia and nitrite from day one rather than weeks in. We stock it in 250ml, 1200ml and 5000ml to suit nano tanks up to large display sumps.
It works just as well dropped into an established but struggling filter to boost capacity, for instance after a heavy restock or when you have added a large new fish. The high porosity gives bacteria enormous surface area in a compact volume, handy in HDB and condo setups where filter and sump space is always tight. Keep flow through it steady and avoid rinsing it in chlorinated tap water.
Find it across our filter media range, and to cycle confidently read our aquarium filter media guide and our explainer on beneficial bacteria.
