JUWEL BioPad Filter Floss for Bioflow Filters

BioPad is the white polyester floss pad that sits at the top of a JUWEL Bioflow filter as the mechanical pre-filter. Its job is simple but important: it catches the coarse particles and fish waste first, so the sponges and biological media underneath stay cleaner for longer and you service them far less often. It comes in a pack so you always have a fresh pad ready for the next clean.

This is the JUWEL part owners replace most frequently, and for good reason. In our warm SG tanks debris builds up fast, and a clogged pad chokes flow through the whole chamber. We suggest rinsing it gently in old tank water once or twice, then replacing it when it stays grey, rather than scrubbing it to death. Treating the BioPad as a consumable keeps your real biology untouched and your water visibly clearer.
