ANS SS Pipe Outlet 17mm for Larger Canister Returns
The 17mm stainless steel outlet is the wider-bore return pipe in the range, sized for 17mm (roughly 5/8″) tubing and the higher-output canister filters that suit larger tanks. Its curved nozzle pushes a broad sweep of flow across the surface to keep the whole water column turning over, avoiding the stagnant pockets that a too-small outlet leaves behind on a big display.
Stainless steel is a sensible choice in SG, where glass lily pipes meet an early end against hard HDB sinks during cleaning. It delivers the same slim, discreet profile but takes the knocks and resists scaling in our humid air. Strong surface movement is also welcome given our warm 27-29C water holds less oxygen, so a generous outlet keeps gas exchange healthy. Match it to a 17mm inlet and same-bore tubing for balanced flow.
