This filter was design with ease of removal and maintenance in mind, all while ensuring that biological, chemical and mechanical filtration needs can still be achieved.

The casing is made from quality reinforced ABS to ensure durability against wear and tear. Wiring are resin sealed to prevent electricity leakage.

High quality bio-chemical filtration sponge helps in culturing beneficial/nitrifying bacteria colonies. Activated carbon – Used for absorbing toxins and other harmful chemicals in the water.
***It is advise to change out the filter cartridge once every month to prevent build up of waste, and ammonia.

Hailea RP Internal Filter (RP600/1000) for SG Aquariums

The RP600 and RP1000 are submersible internal filters built around easy maintenance, with a cartridge that lifts out cleanly so servicing doesn’t mean dismantling the whole unit. Inside, they cover the three filtration stages: sponge for mechanical debris, bio-media surface for nitrifying bacteria, and activated carbon to absorb dissolved toxins and tint. The reinforced ABS housing and resin-sealed wiring stand up to permanent submersion, which is what you want from gear that lives inside the tank.

For Singapore flats, an internal filter keeps clutter out of the cabinet and off the floor, a real advantage in compact HDB and condo setups. Our 27-29C water runs an energetic nitrogen cycle, so the manufacturer’s roughly-monthly cartridge change is sound advice to stop trapped waste spiking ammonia. When you do swap the carbon and sponge, keep any matured bio-media to preserve the colony and avoid a fresh cycle.
