Jeneca IPF-228 / IPF-338 Internal Filters With Rainbar

Both the IPF-228 and the higher-flow IPF-338 ship with a rainbar, and that detail is more useful than it first sounds. The rainbar spreads the return across the water surface as a gentle curtain rather than a single jet, which improves oxygen exchange across the whole top of the tank, a real benefit in Singapore’s warm 27-29C water where oxygen is limited. It also softens the current, so the flow suits planted tanks and calmer community fish.

Sitting inside the tank, these compact units are ideal where there is no space for external gear, which describes most flat and condo setups. They handle mechanical and biological duties together, and the slim profile hides easily behind hardscape or plants. The 338 is the pick when you want more turnover for a slightly heavier stocking, while the 228 keeps things gentle for nano tanks.
