Running the TW Top Filter Pump 60L on a Home Tank

This compact submersible pump is built to lift water up to a hang-on top filter tray, then let it trickle back down through your media. It is the small motor that quietly keeps a top-filter system circulating, and at the 60-litre-per-hour class it suits nano and small community tanks where you want turnover without a gale. The intake strainer keeps larger debris and curious shrimp out of the impeller.

For Singapore setups it is a practical, low-fuss choice. It runs cool enough not to add meaningful heat in our already-warm 27-29C rooms, and its modest draw keeps running costs sensible on an HDB tank that stays on around the clock. Give the impeller a rinse during your regular maintenance, as our soft, warm tap water and the resulting biofilm can slow it over time.
