Keeping GloFish Tetras in a Singapore Community Tank
GloFish Tetras are essentially fluorescent Black Skirt Tetras, so they bring the same hardy, peaceful schooling temperament that makes the parent species such a forgiving community fish. That hardiness suits Singapore homes well, since our ambient 27-29C sits comfortably within their range and most local keepers run them without a heater. They are a good fit for hobbyists who want eye-catching colour without demanding care.
Like all schooling tetras, they show their best behaviour and colour in a group, so keep them in a shoal of six or more rather than ones and twos. A lone tetra tends to be skittish and may nip. Give them open mid-water swimming space alongside some planting for security, and avoid pairing them with long-finned slow movers that could tempt the occasional nipper among them.
