Description

It is a water temperature gauge that floats on a medaka pot or a water pot and reads from above.
The main body is about 70 mm long x 35 mm wide x 15 mm thick, and has a compact design that does not take up space even on narrow water surfaces.

Reading the SUDO S1877 Floating Thermometer in SG conditions

This little floating gauge reads from above, which makes it genuinely handy for open-top medaka pots, shrimp bowls and shallow tubs where a hang-on probe gets in the way. In Singapore most indoor tanks sit naturally at 27-29C, so for many keepers the point of a thermometer is not to confirm a heater is working but to catch when a room gets too warm during a hot spell, or when a chiller is needed for sensitive species like crystal shrimp or cooler-water killifish.

We like it on outdoor and balcony tubs too, where temperatures swing more with the sun and the afternoon monsoon downpours. A quick glance tells you whether the water has spiked past the comfort band before livestock show stress. The compact 70mm body barely intrudes on a small surface, so it suits the desktop and nano setups that are popular in HDB and condo spaces here.
